FRIENDS OF SPRINGFEST  Do you love Horticulture? How about becoming a friend of Springfest! The Springfest Flower and Garden show committee works tirelessly year round to produce the show. Volunteers are needed to get actively involved in many facets of our planning, such as ticket sales, marketing, sponsor solicitation, behind the scenes preparation, and the Scholarship Gala. Volunteering with Springfest is a wonderful opportunity to make new friends and to be connected with a worthwhile community event. For More Information please contact Springfest at 973-948-9448. MASTER GARDENER The Sussex County Master Gardener program is a horticultural education and outreach organization administered by Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Sussex County. The Sussex County program is one of nineteen Master Gardener county organizations within the state of New Jersey. Over 230 volunteers have been trained through the Sussex County Master Gardener program in all aspects of home gardening. Sussex County Master Gardeners have donated over 30,000 hours of volunteer service in community gardens, public beautification, school gardens, horticultural therapy projects with seniors, a Home Horticulture Telephone Helpline and public events like the Springfest Flower and Garden Show. Individuals who wish to receive Master Gardener training and participate in their local program should contact the Rutgers Cooperative Extension office in their county.
