Calling All Kids in Kindergarten-6th Grade!!

Grab your crayons, paints, pencils, and pens--and create a poster for Springfest  celebrating all things that grow: flowers, gardens, trees, landscapes, anything that grows out of the earth.

Nationally recognized local artist Carol Decker is the judge for Springfest Poster Contest and, there will be

A $50 savings bond will be awarded to the winner in each of 3 grade levels:

K-2nd
3rd-4th
5th-6th

Winners will be announced at the
Springfest Flower and Garden Show on Friday March 12 at 4:45pm
and remain on display through Sunday.

The 2010 poster contest is sponsored by First Hope Bank

Contest Rules:

• All entries must be original works without aid from others
• Posters must be  11 x17
• Entries must be hand drawn using crayon, paint, colored pencil, charcoal or marker. No computer generated images accepted.
• Posters must be created by individual students, no group projects.
• One entry per student.
• All entries must have the following information included on the back of the poster: student’s name, grade, name of school, adult contact address and telephone # or e-mail.
• Entries must be submitted by March 2, 2010 by mail to: Linda Walls c/o Springfest, PO Box 100, Branchville, NJ 07826, or arrangements can be made for posters to be picked up at your school. Call Linda Walls at 973-702-1044.
• Do not fold entry.
• Entries become the property of Springfest and will not be returned.

Judging

Nationally recognized local artist Carol Decker will be the judge for all entries.

Entries will be evaluated based on the following:

• Artistic merit (use of color, quality of drawing, design and layout)
• Originality and creativity
• Neatness

All decisions of the judge are final.
